Marlene has been working at Northeastern University for over 40 years, currently works in the Department of Cooperative Education and Career Development.   She started her career in the Department of Cooperative Education.  For the first three years, she worked with Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering students and eventually became an administrative assistant working with Dean Sidney F. Austin.

In 1976, Marlene worked with Dean Austin to establish a consortium of schools and employers, today known as the New England Association for Cooperative Education and Field Experience (NEACEFE), and since 1987, holds the position of the Executive Secretary.

From 1979 to 2003, Marlene worked in Northeastern’s Department of Career Services, with the pre-med advising services and in administrative services with the Dean.  She was inducted into Northeastern’s 25-year Associates in 1994 and inducted as an honorary member in NEACEFE in 2001. 

Marlene returned to the Division of Cooperative Education in 2003.  Since the summer of 2012, she works with the Associate Vice President for Cooperative Education and Career Development.
